I attended Bradley University and obtained undergraduate and graduate degrees in accounting. After college, I sat for the CPA exam and began working with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). I spent the majority of my time at PwC working on the audit of Caterpillar Inc. in Peoria, IL and Caterpillar Financial Services Corporation in Nashville, TN. I also served on the engagement teams for AptarGroup and HNI based out of PwC’s Chicago office. After leaving PwC, I moved to Beijing with my wife and two-year-old son to teach alongside the Red Cross Society of China. We taught a course called Life Education at a few universities and an elementary school. After living in China for two years, we returned from our time overseas and, for over a decade, I've been teaching accounting and business full-time. I find great pleasure giving students their first taste of the world of accounting and business. I do my best to inspire them to think beyond the context of a college class, that they may be able to understand the story found in a set of financial statements as well as the history of the business world. In 2022, I finished my PhD at Illinois State University.
I live in Washington with my wife, Stephanie, and four sons (Quinn, Silas, Jeshua, and Ezra).
